Megan Conklin hired as Director of Lewis Central Education Foundation & Youth Services
Megan Conklin has been named the Director of Lewis Central Education Foundation (LCEF) & Youth Services. This is a new role within LCEF, which has been wholly run by dedicated LC volunteers since 1984. Megan will serve as the first employee of the non-profit organization, working with community stakeholders to fund annual scholarships for seniors, classroom grants for educators, and more. Under the scope of youth services, Megan will act as the Program Director for Lewis Central Lucky Children, licensed through the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services. Megan is a 1998 Lewis Central graduate and is proud of the LC legacy.
Megan recently returned to Council Bluffs after attending the University of Northern Iowa, then pursuing a family and career in Las Vegas, Nevada. Her career focus has been in non-profit recreational planning and administration, and she comes with a wealth of experience in large community programming focused on early childhood enrichment and socialization.
“I’m eager for the opportunity to serve the community that raised me. My time at Lewis Central was special from Kindergarten through graduation, and this newly created role allows me to directly impact the lives of students, educators, and families across the district. Many of my close friends and acquaintances share the loyalty to our district, and after living out of the state and experiencing a large district mentality as a community partner and parent, I know how special the LC community is. Titan Pride!”
Please join us in welcoming Megan in her new role!
