Get ready to experience Alice’s adventures like never before. The LCHS Drama Department is thrilled to announce their upcoming production of the musical Wonderland, hitting the stage this April!
LCHS is proud to be one of the first high schools in the nation, and the very first in the state of Iowa, to present this show. While Wonderland originally debuted on Broadway 13 years ago, a freshly revised script has finally been made available for licensing. We are incredibly honored to be among the first to bring this updated version to life!
In this contemporary reimagining, Alice is a modern woman on the verge of a major promotion. However, her professional success has come at a cost: she’s estranged from her husband and struggling to connect with her daughter. When a dream transports her to a vibrant, surreal Wonderland, she meets a cast of characters that are as fabulous as they are familiar, a Cheshire Cat with an unforgettable flair, a delightfully dotty Queen of Hearts, and a malicious (and marvelous) Mad Hatter. Through this whimsical journey, Alice doesn't just find her way home—she finds herself. By reconnecting with her inner child, she discovers the balance and strength needed to believe in herself again.
