Kindergarten Newsletter - April, 2026
Posted April 1, 2026
In the Classroom
- We are entering the end of the year, and while it gets busy with activities and events, we still have a lot of learning happening.
- During literacy, we are working on asking and answering questions about books. We continue to work on being fluent with letters, letter sounds, heart words, and reading of passages.
- In writing, we will move on to writing letters to others. We will be discussing how it is important to include the name of the person you are writing to and important information.
- In math, students just finished learning about solid or 3D shapes. They compared them to flat or 2D shapes. We will move on to our final unit, putting all of our learning together.
- During UFLI, students are learning about the digraphs sh, th, ch, wh, and ph.
- In science, we are learning about what plants and animals need to survive.
