A Message from Glenwood
Lewis Central Community,
On Friday, September 25, the Lewis Central Titans and Glenwood Rams will team up for a White Out at our varsity football game to raise funds and awareness for pediatric cancer.
Both communities have recently been impacted by cancer through the loss of Joe Miller (Lewis Central) and Kaden Frye (Glenwood). Prior to kickoff, the Miller and Frye families will join our team captains at midfield for the coin toss as we honor their memory.
Friday will also be a special night of recognition as we commemorate the 25th anniversary of September 11th and our nation’s 250th anniversary. We will honor the firefighters, law enforcement officers, emergency medical personnel, dispatchers, first responders, and U.S. military servicemen and women — past and present — who serve our communities and protect the freedoms we enjoy.
All first responders, active-duty military members, and veterans in attendance are invited to participate in our pregame recognition. Please meet Glenwood Activities Director Jeff Bissen and Lewis Central Activities Director Jim Dermody on the track at 6:40 p.m.
Prior to the National Anthem, our honorees will line both sides of the field to be recognized. They will then be invited to help hold our 30' x 60' American flag, dedicated in memory of Kaden Russell Frye, Class of 2026, and in honor of his grandfather, U.S. Army Veteran Keith Johnson, while the Glenwood Marching Band performs the National Anthem.
Throughout the evening, our National Honor Society will have tables on the concourse selling pom-poms, bracelets, T-shirts, face paint, beads, and ribbons to support the White Out and pediatric cancer efforts.
We hope you will join Ram Nation and Titan Nation for a meaningful night as two communities come together to remember, honor, and support others.
All first responders will receive a $5 Glenwood Be The Change booster club concession token.
