804.4 Asbestos Containing Materials

Friable and non-friable asbestos containing materials will be maintained in good condition, and appropriate precautions will be followed when the material is disturbed for any reason. If there is a need to replace asbestos containing building materials, these will be replaced with non-asbestos containing materials.

The district will implement the rules of the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) and will provide the necessary funding to implement the response actions as required. The district will appoint and train as necessary the appropriate person(s) as required in the rules.
