402.8 Private Instruction/Tutoring/Coaching

District Certified personnel shall not render tutorial, coaching, private instruction, professional or consulting services during the work day covered by the individual's contractual or professional obligations or which may represent a conflict of interest or be deemed, by the Board, to be detrimental or disruptive to the district's educational programs and procedures.

Teachers will not actively solicit pupils or any other person for tutoring, coaching, private instruction, professional or consulting services.

A teacher wishing to serve as a tutor shall register with the personnel office. The personnel office will maintain a list of tutors in the geographic area of the district. The list will be made available to any person interested in securing tutoring services. The Board will not be involved in setting fees. Fees should be mutually agreed upon by the interested parties.

Facilities and district materials shall not be used for tutoring, coaching, private instruction, professional or consulting services to pupils or any other person for pay.
