200.0 Statement of Guiding Principles

It is the policy of the Board of Directors to organize and maintain the distinction between those activities which are appropriate to the Board as the legislative governing body of the school district and those administrative duties which are to be performed by the Superintendent and staff in the exercise of a delegated administrative authority. The function of the Board can be described as legislative, executive, and evaluative.

The Board shall have the responsibility of obtaining the best financial resources as provided by state statute and/or federal funding. They shall diligently attempt to keep the community informed of the needs, purposes, and progress of the schools.
