Free Meals Beginning September 14

As of Monday, September 14, 2020, the breakfast and lunch programs at Lewis Central will be free to all Lewis Central students. The District is able to serve the meals free of charge through a USDA program. This free meal program, originally scheduled to end in December, has been extended through the remainder of the 2020-2021 school year. The District will send out a communication if the program ends prior to that.

 A few things to note

  • Only standard meal trays are eligible for Free Priced Meals. Any side dishes, milk only, A la carte items and additional main dishes are full priced.
  • Entries for breakfast and lunch will not be tracked on your student’s account. Only additional purchases will be tracked on your student’s account.
  • School lunch prices will resume next fall. Guidelines for apply for free and reduced meals will be similar to past years.
  • If you qualify for free or reduced meals and have not completed your application for the 2020-2021 school year, please complete it, so your student is eligible if the free program would have to end prior to the end of the school year.
  • Remote students are able to participate in this program as well. Additional information can be found here.
