The middle school, built in 1961, is in urgent need of remodeling to meet the evolving needs of its students and staff. Key areas of improvement include:
General Renovations to Classrooms:
Modernizing classroom spaces to improve safety, energy efficiency, and the overall learning experiences within the classroom.
Estimated Cost: $4,500,000
Updates to the Multipurpose Building:
Revamping the multipurpose building to enhance its functionality for events, gatherings, and physical education activities.
Estimated Cost: $500,000
Improved ADA Accessibility:
Ensuring that all areas of the school are accessible to individuals with disabilities, promoting inclusivity. (See photo below)
Estimated Cost: $500,000
Updated Restrooms and Locker Rooms:
Update restrooms and locker rooms to modern standards at the middle school. Currently, several of our restrooms and locker rooms do not have proper partitions, functional toilets, sinks and showers. The locker rooms do not have adequate ventilation and, in some cases, even lockers for students to store their personal items. In the current boys locker room, the restroom facilities emulate a barracks-style facility, with toilets that are out in the open without any partition to speak of. (See photo below)
Estimated Cost: $400,000
Technology Improvements:
Integrating up-to-date technology to support digital learning and enhance educational resources.
Estimated Cost: $100,000
Structural and Mechanical Improvements:
Addressing any structural issues and upgrading mechanical systems to ensure safety, efficiency, and comfort throughout the school.
Estimated Cost: $400,000
