Titan Hill Students Raise Funds for Outdoor Classroom
An Opportunity Awaits for Learning Outside the Building

February 03, 2010
Students at Titan Hill are having a fundraiser to benefit “their own backyard.” Plans have been drawn up for a certified Nature Explore Outdoor Classroom (click on related link below to learn more). Now it's time to get to work.
The Titan Hill student council has set a goal to raise $10,000 to be used for materials to build the classroom. Students will be asking for donations which will be recorded on their grade's nature inspired paper shape. Donations in any amount may be given, and checks may be made out to LC Foundation.
Students will be working toward several incentives. Since donations can be given in any amount, a focus is being placed on selling at least 10 shapes. Students who accomplish this will not only be recognized with their photo being displayed, they will also be entered into a drawing to be part of the ground-breaking or ribbon-cutting teams when those celebrations occur.
The construction of the outdoor classroom will begin in the spring. At that time there will be a need for many volunteers. If you would like to volunteer, please call Titan Hill at 366-8280. In the meantime, please be sure to remind your child that the money collected and the filled out shapes are due February 12.
Thank you for participating in making Titan Hill a better place to learn!
