What is a "Friend of the Band"?
The Friends of the Band Program is designed to allow individuals, businesses or families the opportunity to donate much needed funds to the Lewis Central High School Band Program. Countless resources are needed and used to help our students succeed within the band program, and your support is needed and appreciated! When you donate to the "Friends of the Band" program, your funds help in the educational process in the following ways:
- Travel Expenses to Contests, Honor Bands, and Workshops - busses, suburbans, fuel, drivers
- Contest and Competition entry fees for Marching Band, Jazz Band, Honor Bands, and Concert Band
- Band Awards given to students each year and displayed in the band room for outstanding accomplishments
- Building Supplies and Tools for repairing band instruments and props
- Instrument Rental/repair for students in our program with special financial needs
- Clinicians and Support
Staff for the band which includes, but is not limited too:
- Drumline Staff and Arrangers
- Music Arrangers
- Color Guard Choreographers/Staff
- Color Guard Costumes and Attire
- Jazz Clinicians
- Marching Clinicians
- Concert Band Clinicians
