March 20, 2009
The Lewis Central Middle School is proud to announce that all three of our 2009 Blank Summer Institute nominees have been accepted for this prestigious program. Nathan Pettepier was selected for Advanced Math Problem Solving, Henry Terry for Social Sciences, and Jared Kennedy for Performing Arts. Fifteen-seventeen top students from across the state are selected by committee for each of several areas of study. Students must be nominated by their schools. The application process includes letters of recommendation, student essays, and test scores. Selected students spend a week of intense study (and fun) on the University of Iowa campus. Congratulations, students!
