Obama Wins!
Titan Hill holds Mock Election

On October 28th, Titan Hill students had the opportunity to participate in a mock Presidential election, and by a narrow margin they chose Barack Obama and Joe Biden to be their next President and Vice-President.
Students filled out voter registration forms, exchanged them for a ballot, and after casting their ballot, received an "I Voted" sticker. Ballots for the 2nd and 3rd graders contained only the Democratic and Republican nominees. 4th and 5th ballots contained all the candidates on the official Iowa ballot. The polling place was manned by 5th grade student council representatives, and an additional team of 5th grade students counted the ballots.
In the past, Lewis Central elementary students have accurately predicted the national winner. Titan Hill is wondering if that will be the case again this year.
