We would like to welcome five new teachers to Lewis Central High School this year.
Our new 10th-grade English and reading teacher

experience in education. For the past nine years, she taught
high school reading, 10th- and 12th-grade
English at Boystown. Kristine enjoys sports, watching Husker
football, quilting, traveling and her pets. An interesting
fact about Kristine is that she is also an LC alumnus, having
attended K-8 here.
Jess Bond will start his teaching career at
Lewis Central by teaching physical
education (team activities) at the High School,
6th grade health at the Middle School and acting as
assistant varsity football coach and assistant varsity basketball

teaching degree at Iowa State University. Jess was recently
married last summer. His special interests include coaching,
playing basketball and watching movies. “Lewis Central is a very
nice school district that appears to have a lot of community
support.” Jess commented.
Gina Pearson will be teaching special education
math. Gina lives in Underwood, Iowa with her three
children and husband who is the Underwood High School
principal. Originally from Denver, Colorado, Gina earned
her B.S. from Creighton University, M.A. in Special Education from

traveling (she has been to 14 countries) and riding horses.
“I’m very excited to be at Lewis Central High School and am looking
forward to a fantastic career in the Lewis Central Community School
District.”

Parkway School District. Jennifer is originally from
Minnesota where she began her career teaching ELL in Saint James,
Minnesota. She is married and has a dog. In her free
time, she enjoys being outdoors camping, biking and hiking with her
husband.
