School is out for the summer!
Congratulations to Linda Hahn and John Drake for being named the
Lewis Central recipients of the "Red" and Ruth Nelson Teaching
Award for 2008.
New Teachers
At the present time, all teaching vacancies have been filled for
next year. The list includes the replacement of the 4
retirees and the addition of 5 teachers for next year. The
new teachers and their assignments are as follows:

Summer office hours
The individual building offices will be open from 7:00 a.m. – 3:30
p.m. through June 20. High School and the ERC will be open
from 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. throughout the summer months.
Registration
PK – 12 student registration will be held on August 4 & 5.
PK-5 registration will be at the Middle School Cafeteria from
2:00-6:00 p.m. Middle School registration will be at the
Middle School Office from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. High School
registration will be at the High School from 1:00 – 7:00 p.m.
For more specific registration information contact the building
offices. The first day of classes for students will be
Wednesday, August 20. On a related note…current students with
unpaid fines and/or fees from this school year will not be allowed
to register for the 2008-09 school year until those obligations
have been taken care of.
Fees for next year will be as follows:
- Activity Ticket will increase $5 from $40 to $45
- Student Planners for High School (only) students will be increased $2 from $5 to $7.
- School lunch prices will be set at the June 16 Board Meeting.
- Other fees remain the same.
