1st Annual Celebration of the Arts
Monday, May 19th Lewis Central High School will host its first annual “Celebration of the Arts” at the Middle School auditorium lobby before the Academic Awards Ceremony. Student work will be on display in an effort to showcase their beautiful, handcrafted projects. Among the work that will be on display are projects from Art, Computer Aided Drafting, Clothing Management, Cooking, Pottery and Woods classes.
Too often our students do not have an audience to view their work. Part of being a craftsperson is creating the work for personal satisfaction. However, art is not complete without it being shown to an audience to view and consider. Our goal is that our high school students can proudly show off their accomplishments to a large audience of community members. The young artisans and faculty members will be on hand to answer questions as well as to discuss opportunities for middle school students interested in discovering the hands-on classes at Lewis Central High School.
Please join us for the first annual Celebration of the Arts at Lewis Central Middle School from 5-8pm on Monday May 19th before the Student Academic Awards Ceremony. We will have great art and pottery, beautifully crafted clothing and woodwork, and freshly baked treats for our guests. We look forward to seeing you there.
