The Lewis Central High School Titan Bands:
The Lewis Central High School Band serves students in Grades 9 through 12 within Lewis Central High School, and strives for musical growth and excellence through performance in a variety of venues. Currently serving approximately 120 students in the High School, the LCHS Band strives for excellence in the areas of Concert Band, Marching Band, Jazz Orchestra, Jazz Band, Jazz Combo's, Basketball Game Band, Color Guard, Drum Line, and in Solo and Small Ensemble Groups. Students within the band program have earned top ratings at Small Ensemble and Large Ensemble Contests, Marching Contests in Iowa, South Dakota and Nebraska, and several Jazz contests in Iowa and Nebraska. The Jazz Band strives for continued success, as students within this group have performed for the Iowa Jazz Championships numerous times. Students within the Titan Band program also have the opportunity to perform in the Southwest Iowa Honor Marching Band, Southwest Iowa Honor Band, the University of Nebraska at Omaha Low Brass Day, Iowa All-State Band and the Augustana College Honor Band. Recently, the Titan Band performed in the 1997 Alamo Bowl and the 2002 Gator Bowl. In Spring of 2007, the Titans traveled to Chicago, IL. and performed for an individualized Concert Band clinic with Judy Grimes at Elmhurst College, and attended several cultural events tied to last years' curriculum.

Lewis Central Middle School Titan Bands:
The Lewis Central Middle School Bands, under the direction of Johnny Kurt and Pam Ryan, work in partnership with the HS Band, to provide an outstanding musical experience for all students in the Lewis Central Community School District. Students in grades 6, 7, and 8 work with our outstanding middle school band staff using a curriculum designed to help students spend a lifetime making music, rather than having it stop at an age or grade level. Students have a variety of comprehensive musicianship and leadership opportunities in Concert Bands, Jazz Bands, Marching Band, Color Guard, Solos and Small Groups and Honor Bands. Students in the Middle School Band program have consistently earned top ratings in all levels of band competition under Ms. Ryan and Mr. Kurt. In order to provide as many opportunities as possible through participation in Instrumental Music, staff members and students from the High School Band will be making regular appearances at the Middle School through weekly lesson times, and through joint concerts coordinated by the LC Band Staff. The Middle School Band takes a yearly trip to Adventure Land in Des Moines, IA, along with numerous other fun and educational activities. LCHS Band Parents Organization:
The LCHS Band Parent Organization is a group of highly supportive band parents and patrons that work to assist the band in countless ways. Tasks from uniform repair, to flag and prop construction to chaperone duties are thanklessly performed by these outstanding supporters.
Committees within the band parents include, but are not limited too:

- T-shirt/Apparel Committee
- Uniform Committee
- Sewing/Flag Committee
- Publicity/Historian Committee
- Craft Fair Committee
- Chaperone Committee

Numerous fundraisers for the band program occur each year, including the highly successful Lewis Central Craft Show. Band Parent meetings occur the 2nd Tuesday of every month at 7:00 p.m. in the Band Room. About Lewis Central High School:
Built in 2000, Lewis Central High School serves approximately 900 students in grades 9-12. E.A. Kreft Elementary, Titan Hill Intermediate School and Lewis Central Middle School feed into Lewis Central High School, with a total school population of 2850 students. Nearly 500 students from Council Bluffs and surrounding communities open enroll into Lewis Central Community Schools. Lewis Central High School is located at 3504 Harry Langdon Boulevard. in Council Bluffs, Iowa near Interstate 29 and Highway 92.
