Welcome to LC Elementary
Parent Teacher Association!
Here are a few bits of information about who we are, what we do and how you can join us!
Who We Are
*LC PTA is made up of approximately 350 members who are interested in the welfare of children. They are not only parents and teachers but grandparents, aunts and uncles, neighbors and friends.
*A membership in a local unit such as LC PTA also makes you a member of the Iowa state PTA and the National PTA. These organizations work for the benefit of children through the age of 21 so parents of children of all ages may join our PTA and know that their student is benefiting.
What We Do
*LC Elementary PTA provides services to students and teachers at E.A. Kreft Primary and Titan Hill Intermediate schools.
*Monthly meetings are held to discuss current projects, provide information and connect with other members.
*Funds are raised annually to support the budget which provides for the services mentioned above. Some of these services and programs are coordinating the room parent program, the Box Top's For Education program, book fairs, supply drives, teacher appreciation, school supply boxes, the directory and the yearbook! Funds are also used to finance field trips for each grade and to purchase items such as non-fiction books for classrooms, playground equipment and more.
How You Can Join US
*A membership to LC PTA costs only $5 and again, makes you a member of Iowa PTA and National PTA. To join, simply send your $5 via school mail with a sheet stating your name, address, phone number, e-mail, children's names, grades and teachers. Mark your envelope LC PTA Membership and you can expect your membership card shortly thereafter!
