September 25, 2010
Students may need to take prescription or non-prescription
medication during school hours. A physician and parent note are
required for all prescription medications, including inhalers. A parent
note is required for non-prescription medications such as cough or pain
medication given at the elementary or middle school levels and is kept
in the health office. Students may carry non-prescription medication at
the high school level. Medication must be in the original container
with the following information: name of student, name of medication,
directions for use including dosage, times, and duration to be given.
Please do not send medication in baggies. Students at any age may carry
ointment for dry lips. If you need a Permission to Administer
Medication form, please contact the health office where your child
attends school or forms made be accessed on the district website under
forms.
