District Leadership Team News
The team consists of twenty to twenty four members including teachers, administrators and Green Hills AEA support representing all buildings within the district. Teachers are compensated for their commitment and are expected to remain on the team a minimum of three years barring extenuating circumstances. The team meets monthly for a half day.

Team Vision:
The LC curriculum is intentionally aligned from PK-12 and teachers implement it with fidelity. Students achieve deep understanding of essential concepts and skills as teachers instruct conceptually (use conceptual instruction). Instructional planning begins with how learning will transfer to real world applications as teachers identify big ideas, enduring understandings, and essential questions.

Team Goal: To problem solve and make decisions regarding curriculum, instruction and assessment in an effort to raise the bar and close the gap for all Lewis Central students.

Team Purpose: Build awareness and accountability for efforts in the district (Content Teams, Building Action Plans, Iowa Core). Build capacity of members around mission/vision/purpose (Understanding by Design and Schooling by Design). Continue to approach improvement efforts through a district-wide perspective.
