Content Team Corner
District wide teams of teachers/administrators that include representation from all buildings, the district leadership team and also Green Hills AEA representation when possible. Their main focus is the monitoring and refinement of curriculum. Each team has a specific content focus. The group creates overarching vertical Enduring Understandings, Essential Questions as well as assist in attaching standards, benchmarks and indicators at grade or course levels. This then is taken to building and/or grade level PLC collaboration groups where the work is done to create learning units and to develop effective teaching strategies. A secondary function of these teams is to be a communication conduit with buildings in the curriculum development process. Currently the district has seven teams: Literacy, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Performing Arts Education, Technical Education, and Assessment.
