Series 400 - Staff Personnel


It is the goal of the Board of Directors to provide educational services of the highest quality attainable. Success in attaining this goal is largely dependent upon the character, competency and cooperation of district personnel.

The Board charges the administrative staff, under the supervision of the Superintendent, with the responsibility of selecting and recommending for appointment the best personnel available within the limits of the school district resources. Further, the administration shall evaluate employee performance regularly with the expectation that such employee evaluations shall contribute to the maintenance of the highest performance standards.

Each employee is expected to convey a positive professional image of the Lewis Central Schools to the general public. This is first accomplished by each employee performing assigned duties to the best of his/her ability. It is secondly enhanced by each employee who meets the public in the performance of duties doing so in a courteous, sincere, and positive manner. Most importantly it is accomplished by addressing the needs of the young people we serve in the most professional manner possible. The display of pride in and loyalty to the Lewis Central Schools shall be expected of all employees.

The Board shall make personnel appointments on the basis of recommendations made by the administrative staff.
