Policy 101 - Goals and Objectives of the Educational Program


The goals and objectives of the Lewis Central Community School District shall be designed to achieve the district's educational philosophy statement. A School Improvement Committee, representatives of the community and the district, shall be appointed to make recommendations for the goals and objectives of the educational program.

Short-term and long-term objectives for the educational program shall be established annually and reported to the community by the board. These objectives shall reflect the results of the needs assessment, recommendations of the advisory committee, recommendations from the superintendent, and changes in law.

Annually the committee shall report to the board regarding progress toward the achievement of the goals and objectives of the educational program.
