Discussion Items
7.01 Board Vacancy
With Tracy Bruun’s resignation, we will have a vacancy on the board. According to Iowa Code, we have 30 days to appoint someone to fill the position. The person appointed would serve on the board until the next regularly scheduled election (September of 2017). We are required to place a notice of the vacancy in the local paper. We are appreciative of Tracy’s commitment to the Lewis Central School District and wish her and family well.

7.02 Home-Side Bleacher Renovation
Some modifications need to be made to the Home side bleachers to accommodate the track replacement project. CBS Construction is the contractor doing the visitor bleachers project so it makes sense to have them do the renovation project on the home side. This will be a “change order” for CBS Construction in the amount of $58,570.00. Randy Kuszak from Lamp Rynearson attended the meeting to present the scope of the work and to answer any questions.
